#0832 Boogie – Tired

LOST CONNECTIONS #4

Carrying on with the ‘theme’. This cut is courtesy of Boogie, MASSIVE tune. HEAVYWEIGHT lyrics and one of my favourite cuts of this year.

“Its hard to put on war boots when you’re walking on egg shells”

    1. Ian…ALWAYS a pleasure to connect with you. VERY glad to hear you are enjoying this cut. My initial ‘love’ for the genre began in the early 80’s as a young teenager. Since them early days it’s been through a LOT of changes but for contemporary social critique it’s RIGHT ‘up there’ for me. Hope you’re ageing well and navigating the big changes we are going through out ‘here’..

      1. I have been interested in music as a vehicle for social comment (and action) for many years since I was first introduced to early blues artists (OK they were American, but everyone has the same problems),like you, as a young teenager. As a Boy Scout in the 1960’s, we had regular jumble sales and the leftovers always included 78rpm records and artists like Big Bill Broonzy and Willie Dixon kickstarted my music collection and the musical “rut” I’m in that grows deeper by the day. Good job that it’s a feather lined rut.
Regarding the big changes we are going through, I have a large lifebelt, otherwise I would be drowning.
